Emily & Cory’s Kansas City Engagement Session at Nelson Atkins Museum

October 6, 2020

I met Emily through Ashton’s (see their wedding HERE) and we hit right off when taking their Kansas City engagement portraits at the Nelson Atkins Museum. I’ve had the honor to photograph their engagement session and they are considering a destination wedding next year!

Emily & Cory met at a party the first weekend being at Pittsburg State University! They found out they lived in the same dorms and Cory thought that Emily was so funny and witty. After they met, they hung out and spent all their free time together! After graduating, Emily moved up to Kansas City to live together!

“What do you love most about each other?”

Emily says: “I love how laid back Cory is especially when I’m feeling stressed.”

Cory says: “I love her kindness towards others and open mindedness.”

They both love spending time outdoors and love to go golfing, walking/hiking, riding their bikes or even playing frisbee!

Although I typically tell my clients that neutral colors work best for photos, I loved Emily’s red dress! It was just the perfect pop of color and matched perfectly with the red flowers at the Nelson Atkins Museum! Look at the images below and leave a comment to let me know what you think!!

Emily & Cory – thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer!! And please, wherever you decide to have your 2021 destination wedding, please take me with you!!!
