I’ve photographed so many weddings, engagements, seniors, and family portrait sessions and always keep my eyes open for beautiful scenery and locations in the area! Over the years, I’ve come up with a list of my absolute favorite places to take portraits! I know there are so many other amazing opportunities and beautiful locations out there, but I thought I’d make a list of 15 of the best places to capture portrait & wedding photos in the Kansas City area! Each location is so unique and pretty!

If you know me, you may know that I studied Architectural Engineering and love having unique architectural backgrounds for portraits! Architecture can be used to make a wedding photo or engagement portraits very bold and elegant. If you have a very colorful wedding or engagement outfit, I’d suggest a sleek architectural background to create unique contrast for a beautiful portrait.
