Malory & Kareem [Engagement]

I just loved the urban and contemporary feel of this photo session and I had a great time photographing these two love birds. Malory and Kareem, both Kansas Jayhawks, are awesome people and will be getting married in Dubai this March! Congratulations!

Mariam Saifan Photography - Hey Mike, thank you for the kind words! For this photo session, I mostly used my 50mm 1.8 and 85mm 1.8 lenses.

Mike smith - Just stunning! I love the depth of field. What lenses do you use? Keep it up.

Salim & Rozeena [Wedding]

I had an amazing time photographing Salim and Rozeena’s wedding events. The first night, the traditional Indian pithi ceremony took place where a paste, known as pithi, was rubbed on the bride and grooms face. This paste is made out of yellow turmeric and a mix of ingredients that are said to make skin look brighter and prettier for the wedding day. Well, the bride and groom sure looked beautiful! The second day, I came to their house to photograph them in their backyard, as well as go to the mosque to do the official marriage. Lots of family and friends joined in on the fun. Lastly, the official wedding reception started late that night at the Matt Ross Community Center. I felt like a part of the family by the end of the two days of festivities! These two are so in love and I wish them a life time of happiness.

Nasim (Again) - THat’s wonderful! COuld you link me to some of the photogrpaher’s page that you enjoyy?

Mariam Saifan Photography - Nasim, thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words and am happy you like my photography! I use a Canon 50D. I really like to shoot in a natural way at weddings, so that the couple could just enjoy themselves. However, I also do the posed pictures before the weddings. I always look at other photographers that I admire, and try to get inspired. I also write down any ideas that I have and try them out before I forget them. Thank you so much. Please share the page and feel free to ask any other questions!

Nasim - OMG. MASHALLAH YOUR PICS ARE STUNNING! I’ve spent about an hour looking at all of your pictures! What camera do you use? And when you do the shoots how do you figure out what poses the people should do?

Megan [Senior Portraits]

I had an awesome time photographing Megan, a senior from Olathe East. We wanted an urban feel and went to the plaza area in Kansas City, as well as Loose Park. Megan plans on studying psychology at Pitt State! Wish her luck and leave a comment to let me know what you think of the pictures! Enjoy! :)

Mariam Saifan Photography - Beth, I am so happy you like them! Thank you! :)

Beth - Mariam, these are fantastic! You did a great job – thank you so much. I love them!

Mandy & Keith [Wedding]

I had the pleasure of working with Deanna Johnson from A Day to Adore Photography (www.adaytoadore.net) and photographed part of a beautiful wedding last Saturday. It was held at the Loch Lloyd Country Club and it the wedding was simply gorgeous. Here’s a few of the pictures I’ve snapped! Congrats Keith and Mandy! Here’s to a life filled with love and happiness!

Bazigha & Ali [Wedding]

Congratulations to Bazigha and Ali on their beautiful marriage! I had a great time photographing the mendhi at the River Market Event Space. It was a night filled with lots of laughter, warmth, and bright colors. I also really enjoyed my time at the wedding, also known as the shadi. It was held at the Westin near Crown Center in downtown Kansas City. Everything about the wedding was gorgeous, from the lighting to the bride. Bazigha is such an amazing person inside and out, and I wish them both an amazing marriage! Here is a blog post from the wedding (shadi) pictures. I will post some more pictures later of the mendhi night as well! Enjoy! :)
