I loved working with Melanie + Joe for their beautiful summer wedding that took place at the St.Therese Catholic Church and at the Hawthorne House in Parkville, Missouri! It was truly the perfect dream wedding for these beautiful souls! Melanie is a French teacher and one of the kindest people that you will ever meet! And Joe is so amazing as well and you can tell that everyone at their wedding loved them dearly!

Melanie + Joe booked me for their wedding ever since last year and it’s been so nice to create a friendship waiting for their wedding day! I took their engagement photos in Kansas City at the Power and Light district as well as Liberty Memorial which can be found: Melanie + Joe’s Engagement Portraits

The day started off with the bridesmaids and bride getting ready at the church while the groomsmen were getting ready at the Kansas City Marriott – View at Briarcliff. My second photographer was capturing the guys getting ready and apparently, their suits had some mishaps!! One guy tried on his pants and they were too short and looked like capris!! One of the other guys was laughing so much that he busted his pants up front! But thankfully, one of Joe’s groomsmen also happens to be a really handy man and was able to adjust their pants to be longer and fix that rip! Haha! Through out the whole wedding, everyone loved this story and it really brought everyone’s spirits up and in a good mood!

This summer wedding included a big and very fun/kind bridal party! The wedding included bridesmaids dresses that were a summer pink color while the guys wore cute pink ties and blue suits. Everyone was so much fun and happy!

At the Hawthorne House, cocktail hour was outside and everyone enjoyed the summer evening. Kids were playing and enjoying themselves. Groups of people ate inside for dinner at different times to avoid having too many people inside at once due to the virus. Everyone watched Melanie + Joe cut their adorable wedding cake followed by beautiful and funny speeches by Melanie, her sister, and Joe’s brother! The music was poppin’ and the dance floor was fun!
