On day two of Laila + Salim’s two-day wedding – there were so many different traditions that needed to be captured and everything was so beautiful!!
Salim picked up his beautiful bride from her house in Olathe. Then they headed to the Ismaili Jamatkhana in Olathe for their Ismaili Muslim wedding ceremony. They officially got married and we took pictures near a beautiful fall tree!
After their official ceremony – their family and friends headed to Hyderabad Darbar restaurant to do some traditions. Some of the traditions are that the brides family takes the grooms shoes and to get his shoes back, the groom must pay some good money back to the bride! Another tradition is where both the bride and the groom have to put their hands in rice and find a coin. The games ended with everyone enjoying some ice-cream for dessert!
The bride and groom then switched outfits to get ready for their reception that night! We caught some daylight and took some photos of them at Sor-Ko-Par park! These two looked so fabulous and cute for their wedding portraits!
Lastly, the night ended with a beautiful reception at the Olathe Community Center which was beautifully decorated by Kirans Decorations! The room was filled with guests that were so joyful for Salim + Laila! The night ended with lots of family photos and lots of good dancing!
Laila + Salim – congrats! I wish you two a lifetime of love and happiness! Thank you so much for choosing Mariam Saifan Photography to capture your special day(s)!
