This fall, I hosted another Photography Business Workshop, and I’m still on cloud nine from the experience. Each workshop reminds me why I fell in love with teaching, community, and helping photographers build the kind of business — and life — they’ve always dreamed of.
What started as a simple idea last year has now become one of the most meaningful parts of my career. Seeing photographers walk into the room with hope, questions, and creative passion… and watching them leave with clarity, confidence, and a renewed excitement for their work?
That’s the magic I’ll never get over.
And this workshop was nothing short of incredible.

A Two-Day Experience Designed to Transform Your Photography Business
This workshop is intentionally designed with two powerful days:
📌 Day One: Education + Business Strategy
We dive deep into the topics photographers are really struggling with today:
- How to confidently raise your prices
- How to create a portfolio that attracts your dream clients
- How to book higher-end weddings
- Posing, lighting, and the client experience that sets you apart
- Branding, marketing, and building a sustainable business
- How to create joyful, natural images your clients rave about
I loved watching the photographers in the room light up as everything started to click. That “aha moment” look is my absolute favorite.
📌 Day Two: Styled Shoot Stations
Then the magic truly unfolded.
With the help of an incredible vendor team, we created multiple styled shoot stations so photographers could:
- Build a portfolio that elevates their brand
- Photograph high-end details and real couples
- Practice posing and lighting techniques in real conditions
- Walk away with content they can use immediately
The entire space was bursting with color, culture, elegance, and inspiration — everything I love in wedding photography.
Why These Workshops Mean So Much to Me
Earlier today, I actually teared up thinking about how far this community has come.
A few years ago, I felt called to start offering education — to help photographers refine their style, grow their confidence, and build a business that feels good.
Today, every workshop fills my heart with so much gratitude.
The photographers who attend are kind, talented, eager to learn, and supportive of one another.
It’s exactly the kind of creative community I prayed for.
If you’ve ever come to one of my workshops, mentored with me, or trusted me to guide you — thank you. You’re the reason I continue doing this.

For Future Brides & Grooms: Why This Matters for Your Wedding Photography
You might wonder: “What does this workshop have to do with my wedding?”
Everything.
Teaching photographers forces me to constantly refine, evolve, and deepen my craft.
When I mentor, I think even more intentionally about:
- Light
- Color
- Emotion
- Posing
- Composition
- Client experience
- Wedding-day flow
And that means my clients get an even better version of me — the most prepared, creative, and intentional Mariam.
Hosting these workshops also keeps me inspired, updated, and connected to the newest trends, venues, designs, and cultural elements — especially for the colorful, joyful, multicultural weddings I’m known for.
