Bali, Indonesia [travel]

January 7, 2017

In September of 2016, my husband and I got on a 26 hour flight and went on an adventure in Asia! Within our trip to Bali, we made a short stop at the Hong Kong airport and also visited Kuala Lumpur, as well as the Langkawi island in Malaysia! Phew, what a whirlwind!

Here are a few photos from our trip to Bali, Indonesia (Ubud & Kuta). We had the wonderful opportunity to try many different tropical fruits such as durian, jackfruit, snake skin fruit, passion fruit, pink guava, rambutan, dragon fruit, mangosteen, and much more! We walked many miles through small Balinese villages and saw endless fields of rice and mingled with the nice and genuine locals. We really enjoyed the gorgeous scenery and saw something we’ve never seen before at every turn. In a few days, we saw rice fields (Tegalalang Rice Terraces), a stunning waterfall (Tegenungan Waterfall), gorgeous temples (Uluwatu Temples), a mountain with an active volcano (Mount Batur), and even got to hang out with some cheeky monkeys at the Ubud Monkey Forest!  Be aware of the monkeys! They will surely grab anything from your hands and may get aggressive! We had a very good experience in our short stay in Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. We then headed to a southern part in Bali, known as Kuta. We headed to Padang Padang Beach where you have to walk through a cut out rock to get to the beach! If you are headed to Kuta, I would say, be careful of the locals here as they’re not as nice as the Ubud locals, especially dealing with money exchangers. They will try to be sneaky and take your cash from you if they can.

Overall, Bali was a wonderful experience with lots to see and do! Hope that you love the images!
